The Best Houses in Movies

I’m no architect but I can say that these houses are perfect.

I just rewatched ‘Parasite’, the house in that movie is outstanding and it got me thinking about other houses in films, because normally, we pay attention to the acting, the script, the editing, the clothes; but what about the house that they are in? Don’t expect a review of why this houses are amazing, I just like them and their aesthetic.

Soo, here is a quick list of pretty houses in movies I have seen.

Parasite (2019)

Parasite was the best movie of last year and probably the best house too, the outside and interior design are perfection. If there is one house in this list that I would want to live in, it is this one, but I would get rid of the basement for obvious reasons.

Ex Machina (2014)

This movie was great and very versatile as this house. I really like it, especially one room or hallway (I can’t remember right now) that is very white. I tried putting a picture of the place but every one I found had kind of a spoiler in it. Anyways, I really like this house and it is perfect for this movie.

The Great Gatsby (2013)

The Great Gatsby has without a doubt amazing houses, not just Gatsby’s but also Nick’s and Daisy’s. Omg and the meaning behind some of the houses and locations in the book is fantastic, so this had to be on this list. And here is your friendly reminder that Nick deserved better.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986)

I could not find good pictures of this house besides this, but it is stunning. Cameron’s house is one of the best part of this movie and of the best houses (in my opinion) of movies I have seen.

Paddington (2014)

When I say “I would die for Paddington” I’m not joking and I would do anything to live in this house, it feels so cozy and beautiful omg. If my future house does not have a staircase like that I will be suing.
